On 15 February 2016, train passengers can book their online reservation tickets only 6 times in a month either it reservation for sleeper class, AC or Non AC Class on Indian railway e-ticketing website.

Any single person is allowed to book only two tickets on one userid in a day for Tatkal from 10am to 12noon. Ticketing agents have been banned from booking tickets from 8am to 8.30am for general bookings, from 10am to 10.30am and 11am to 11.30am for Tatkal booking in AC and non-AC classes respectively. There is only one booking in one user login session except for return/onward journey between 8am to 12noon.
